At the recently held Extraordinary Assembly of the Shipmasters’ Association of Montenegro, Petar Djurovic, Managing Partner of ABACO, was unanimously elected as a titulary member of the Association.
In Shipmasters’ words - this honorary recognition was awarded in acknowledgment of his exceptional contribution to the development of Montenegrin maritime sector and the advancement of the maritime profession. The Association expressed its sincere congratulations and gratitude to Petar for his longstanding support and commitment to the maritime community.
This election holds special significance, as the Shipmasters acknowledged that Petar has carried forward the tradition of his late father, Branko Djurovic, one of the Association’s founders and a distinguished member.
Through this appointment, Petar reaffirms ABACO’s dedication to strengthening professional standards in maritime domain, while honouring the legacy of his father’s contribution to the community.
We are particularly pleased that, in its official announcement, the Shipmasters’ Association of Montenegro recognized the importance of ABACO’s business policy, under which every seafarer is entitled to a free consultation, during which they receive advice on their fundamental rights arising from employment on board.
We are deeply gratified by this acknowledgement of friendship between the Shipmasters’ Association of Montenegro and ABACO, and we look forward to continued collaboration with the Association and the broader maritime sector, including through the joint work within the Montenegrin Maritime Law Association.
